Intensive Interventions
Comprehensive interventions are those which address a wide range of developmental domains and goals. Intensive refers to the number of treatment hours, which typically ranges between 10-30 hours per week.
Based on over 50 years of research supporting the efficacy of intensive early intervention, this program is for learners ages 2 - 7 years old, diagnosed with Autism and other developmental delays.
We follow an evidence-based developmental curriculum that addresses the following developmental domains:
Language
Social
Motor
Play
Adaptive
Executive Function
Cognition
Academic
Specific Offerings:
-
Our Early Intensive Behavioral Intervention program (EIBI), involves 1:1 therapy at an intensity supported by research (10-30 hours per week).
Our EIBI approach incorporates multiple modalities including DIR Floortime, Theraplay, Natural Enviornment Teaching, ESDM and more.
-
Our playschool program is for early learners, ages 3-6 years old, who are ready to learn group skills to prepare them for school and to build connection with peers.
Playschool is a 3 hour session with a 2:1 ratio of children to staff. We utilize foundational ABA principles, to promote learning in a group setting.
-
School shadowing is available for students that are in a mainstream school setting, and could benefit from additional support from a Cayman ABA trained School Inclusion Shadow. Our Shadows are trained in Positive Behavior Supports (PBS) and Social Shadowing, & are supervised by BCBAs.
Through regular consulting with teachers, our skilled shadows will help modify classwork, give the teacher tools to be successful and encourage your child. Shadowing is meant to build independence by supporting your child only as long as they need us. We will use strategic fading techniques and only step in when needed.
Focused Services
Focused interventions are those which address a limited number of goals and treatment hours.
Unlike intensive intervention, which can range between 10-30 hours per week, Focused interventions are typically 1 - 2 hours per week.
Our focused clinical services are suitable for children over the age of seven (7) who either have skills they need to learn, or challenging behaviors that impact their ability to form or maintain positive relationships with others. Using the evidence-based interventions, we develop individualized treatment plans that build on your child’s strengths to help learn new skills to improve their quality of life and relationships.
Specific Offerings:
-
One-to-one intervention sesions targeting functional living skils, is the foundation of our focused ABA program. Sessions typically take place at home or in the community, to promote independence in real-world settings.
Frequency of sessions is typically one or two sessions per week.

Our focused ABA therapy program also offers groups, for targeted skill instruction in a functional and social setting.
Some examples of skills targeted in group settings are social skills, conflict-resolution skills, sharing and turn taking skills, and conversation skills (among more!)

Why Choose Cayman ABA?
We’re Accredited
Cayman ABA is the only accredited ABA provider in the entire Caribbean Region!
We initially earned accreditation in our first year of operation (2018), and then were re-accredited for a three-year period (the longest accreditation possible to earn), in June 2020.
Accreditation sets apart quality service providers from “just anyone” and gives families the ability to have confidence in our program. Not all ABA programs are created equal. In a field that has such a range of applications and methods, we are proud of our accreditation because it highlights our high standards!
We’re Qualified
One of the marks of our accreditation as a Behavioral Health Centre of Excellence is credentialing within the field of Applied Behavior Analysis. All members of our ABA Therapy team posses certifications from the Behavior Analysis Certification Board ranging from Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to Registered Behavior Technicians (RBT).
We value a multidisciplinary approach
At Cayman ABA, we view collaboration with other professions as an essential component to our services, and our multidisciplinary team works together to address the full range of a child's developmental needs. We believe that the best approach is one that incorporates professional collaboration from multiple relevant disciplines.
Incorporating expertise from other disciplines into our approach, including Clinical Psychology, enables our children to make measurable gains in all areas of development.
We've got SKILLS®
Skills® is a tool developed by the Center for Autism and Related Disorders, designed to aide in the development of comprehensive, individualized plans for children and adolescents with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). At Cayman ABA, we focus on teaching the full range of socially significant behaviors for a child, and the Skills® curriculum supports us to incorporate research-based lessons into our teaching programs.
We Track Progress
We take the guesswork out of your child's program, by measuring, tracking and continually analyzing data as we progress towards goals.
You'll never wonder what your child is working on at Cayman ABA, or if they're making progress; parents have access to their child's cloud-based curriculum at all times, so you can be up-to-date and informed throughout your child's journey.
